United Arab Emirates: Employees consider new jobs with higher salaries in 2023

The survey, which surveyed 500 professionals, found that 74% of respondents were considering a new role in 2023 – higher pay is the biggest motivator for the majority of them.

UAE employers responded to some of the demand, with 31% of workers receiving a pay rise to meet the rising cost of living, and the same proportion being offered additional bonuses and increases in his regular allowances.

Besides monetary benefits, some companies also provide their employees with other benefits such as mental wellness support and financial training.

However, the report found that the general trend was one of cuts on the employers’ side. Along with freezing new hires, many are cutting allowances and moving costs for overseas hires.
