This is perhaps one of the best weekend activities in the emirate for outdoor community entertainment
Abu Dhabi Moments, a family-friendly festival, will host a variety of free community activities in the western Al Dhafra region.
Held in the regional town of Al Dhannah, the Community Development Department invites people to enjoy various stage shows, entertainment, educational workshops for children, games, food and drink and traveling shows from Friday to Sunday.
Over the past two weeks, Abu Dhabi Moments covered Khalifa Square in Abu Dhabi City and Al Jahili Park in Al Ain City, engaging a total of over 100,000 visitors. Now there will be three evenings of fun activities to entertain people of all ages at Ruwais Central Park in Al Dhannah City.
“We are thrilled to bring the fun of Abu Dhabi Moments to the Al Dhannah City community for the first time after entertaining audiences at Khalifa Square Park and Al Jahili Park in Al Ain, where the initiative s proved to be a resounding success, made possible by all the individuals and families who came to create special moments and turn them into treasured memories by participating in our various tastefully organized activities for all members of the community,” said Mohamed Helal Al Balooshi, DCD Executive Director, Community Engagement and Sports.
He noted that with the weather getting colder, Abu Dhabi Moments is one of the best weekend activities in the emirate for outdoor community entertainment.
“Having families and the community as a whole come together in one event tells us that the spirit of togetherness, regardless of social barriers, is very much alive in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. We live in a country where diversity is celebrated, inclusion and tolerance are encouraged to generate mutual respect and friendship between members of the community is encouraged.We at DCD are thrilled to create an environment that engenders such a spirit of harmony that enriches life through the diverse experiences of Abu Dhabi Moments.
Visit Ruwais Central Park from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and admission and all activities are free.
