If you continue to delay paying traffic fines because you have a huge accumulation of dues, there is good news for you. The authorities have announced up to 50% reduction on traffic fines. Authorities in the United Arab Emirates continue to offer traffic fine reduction programs to encourage motorists to settle their huge pending amounts and renew their vehicle registrations. In addition, the scheme aims to ease the financial burden of motorists. Different emirates in the country have announced separate discounts and offers for motorists. Motorists were offered a perfect gift for its residents on UAE National Day.
Abu Dhabi Traffic Fine Reduction Program
Drivers who pay their fines in advance can get discounts from Abu Dhabi Police. Drivers who break the law and pay their fines within 60 days of the violation are eligible for a 35% reduction. They can still get a 25% reduction if they choose to pay the fine within one year from the day of the violation.
The fine can also be paid in installments without interest. Additionally, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Mashreq Bank and Emirates Islamic Bank accept interest-free installment payments from motorists.
Fujairah Traffic Fine Reduction Program
In line with the emirate’s discount scheme, drivers can have their traffic fines reduced by one percent. The program started on November 29 and will last 60 days. Blackheads will also be canceled. It should be noted that only violations committed before November 26 will be covered by the reduction program and serious traffic violations will not be considered for the relief program.
Ajman Traffic Fine Reduction Program
For offenses committed in Ajman before November 11, a 50% reduction can be applied. The penalty must be paid by drivers before January 6, 2023. Serious traffic violations, including endangering lives, running red lights and exceeding the speed limit by more than 80 km /h are not covered.
Umm Al Quwain Traffic Fine Reduction Program
For offenses committed in Umm Al Quwain, drivers can benefit from a 50% reduction on their traffic fines. The reduction program can be used from December 1, 2022 to January 6, 2023. The reduction program applies to crimes committed before October 31. The program does not cover serious traffic violations.
