Pokémon Slowpoke chair
With a large portion of the over 1,000 Pokemon creatures being amorphous blobs, we’ve seen quite a few. crushed into pieces of furnitureincluding Slowpoke which is now a bean bag chair that looks like a cozy place to lay back and let life slow down. Inside the pink polyester bag are nothing but polystyrene beads, which means that over time Slowpoke’s shape will likely shift and change, perhaps not resembling to an armchair. We have nothing against bean bag chairs, but dropping $200 on one is a tough sell. Cheap furniture from Ikea might not last forever, but at least a chair will always look like a chair.
SH Figuarts Men’s Chainsaw
Bandai is also jumping on board one of the biggest anime of the season with its own figure of the titular Devil Hunt demon. Unlike Figma’s recent reveal, the Figuarts Chainsaw Man is strictly that – no parts to swap him between Denji and Chainsaw forms. What you get instead are alternate hand parts to have Denji with clenched or cupped fists ready to slash, an alternate tie posed to look like he’s floating in the air, and a jawbone Alternate lower to display Chainsaw Man with an open or closed mouth. The figure will retail for around $50 when it releases in Japan next April, but good luck finding pre-orders still available.[[[[At Miami]
Blitzway Kurt Cobain 1/6 Scale Figure
Action figure makers tend to stick with fictional characters, but many real-life personalities have had just as much of an impact on their fanbases. So while we’re used to seeing painstakingly recreated Marvel heroes or DC villains as detailed, realistic 12-inch collectibles, Blitzway gave the same treatment to musician and alt-rock icon Kurt Cobain. The worn sweater and ripped jeans are a perfect recreation of Cobain’s iconic look, while Blitzway have created a pair of interchangeable head sculpts inspired by Cobain’s performance. The figure of $319, expected to be available in the second quarter of 2023also comes with all the accessories needed to pose the figure as if playing, including stage gear and an electric guitar.
Rubik’s Ghost
The secret to the Rubik’s Cube’s enduring success is a simple design that will continue to challenge puzzle solvers for generations to come. It doesn’t get any easier to solve with age. But that doesn’t stop companies from offering variations to increase the challenge, like a Rubik’s Cube with color changing tiles as you move it. The The Twist of Rubik’s Phantom They are tiles printed with thermochromic ink that look all black until the heat from the solver’s fingers causes them to change color, revealing how the cube is scrambled. It’s evil, and for $15, a solid gift for that family member who’s convinced they’re a genius.
