We had our first really good rainstorm of the season a few days ago, totaling nearly two inches at Morgan Hill, which was more than welcome with our ongoing drought conditions. It was still raining heavily in the morning when I went for my tour. So I took my Vado which has wings and I put on good rain gear. It did its job well for over two hours, after which the rain finally let up. The ride was quite pleasant. As the saying goes (which I’m sure originated in a place with a harsher climate than California) “there is no bad weather, only bad clothes”. It especially helped me to have a long bill cap and neck warmer that minimized blows to the face with drops.
