November 24, 2022 UAE No Comments2 Mins Read

THE presence of the Solomon Islands Pavilion at the 2020 World Expo in Dubai from October 2021 to April 2022, has left a lasting impression for the various companies and organizations that have established business relationships in the fields of tourism, energy green, medicine, aviation and trade. and economic development to name a few.

One of the companies that benefited from our presence at Expo 2020 is Abu Dhabi-based Talent SeaFoods Trading, which successfully signed a distribution agreement with SolTuna Limited as agent for the Middle East region and Africa.

Mohammed Kutty Valyakath, Commercial Managing Partner of Talents SeaFoods, said that since SolTuna products landed on the shelves of three well-known supermarkets in Abu Dhabi, there have been many inquiries from other distribution agencies in the UAE. who have shown interest in our tuna products.

In a recent development, the Abu Dhabi-based company has taken delivery of a fully loaded 20ft container of Wetem Oel albacore and bluefin tuna flakes. An additional container of seven varieties of SolTuna products is due to arrive in the UAE before the end of the year.

Mr. Valyakath added that as part of their ongoing promotions, visits were also made to the various selected villages and malls, including public functions where free samples were given away.

However, one of the major hurdles Talent SeaFoods Trading faces is the lack of available stock, as this has hampered their ability to meet the ever-increasing demands for SolTuna products, especially in the United Arab Emirates, which has a population of 10 millions of inhabitants.

Mr. Valyakath expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Moses Kouni Mose for his continued support and guidance and remains confident that the business relationship between the two companies will grow further and further for the UAE and the Islands. Solomon.
