Nafis is a federal government program launched in September last year aimed at increasing the number of Emiratis in private sector jobs over the next five years.
It offers several programs including Emirati Wage Support Program, Retirement Program, Child Benefit Program, Talent and Learning, Unemployment Benefit, etc.
Based on the expanded scheme, Emiratis earning a monthly salary of less than Dh30,000 will receive an allowance. Nafis will offer up to 7,000 Dh per month to holders of a baccalaureate; 6,000 MAD for graduates; and 5,000 Dh to secondary school graduates.
On Saturday, Al Awar issued a strong statement that the MoHRE “will be firm in carrying out necessary procedures with any company that attempts to abuse policies and decisions related to emirates, including Nafis benefits.
“The MoHRE will address and deal with any abuse in the appropriate manner,” he stressed.
Al Awar reiterated, “Some of these false and negative practices are considered a flagrant violation of Federal Decree Law No. on career opportunities in the labor market.
Al Awar said: “We call on Emirati job seekers or those currently working in the private sector or members of the community at large to report any false practices relating to Emiratization in the labor market through the job center. MoHRE calls 600590000 to strengthen compliance with relevant decisions, policies, laws and legislations.
