On the occasion, Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai, said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s order to pardon prisoners reflects his concern to give convicted prisoners a chance to start a new life and alleviate the difficulties of their families, as well as giving them the opportunity to reintegrate into society.
He also claimed that the gesture also reflects one of the UAE’s core national values โโof tolerance.
Al Humaidan said the Dubai Public Prosecution Service has started coordinating with the Dubai Police to implement the order.
