Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Frontline Heroes Office Board, has confirmed that more than 30,000 frontline heroes in the UAE have received golden visas in recognition of their efforts to protect the public during the COVID -19 pandemic.
Sheikh Sultan said the Frontline Heroes Office will continue to work with key authorities across the country to grant visas to distinguished professionals who have provided exceptional patient care during the pandemic.
The beneficiaries were nominated for the 10-year residency visa by their respective health authorities.
The Bureau is coordinating closely with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security to implement the directives of the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, continuing to issue golden visas to eligible frontline heroes who work tirelessly to protect the people of the United Arab Emirates from any potential emergency that may arise.
A number of frontline heroes expressed their gratitude and appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the visas, which they believe will significantly improve their professional, family and social stability.
Dr. Jamal Aldeen Al Koteesh, Chief of Radiology and Interventional Radiology Consultant at Tawam Hospital, said: “On behalf of all medical staff, I express my sincere gratitude to the leadership and government of the United Arab Emirates, as well as to the office of frontline heroes for this honor of granting us the golden visa which gives us great support and peace of mind.
Dr Hala Abuzaid Ahmed Abuzaid, Director of Medical Department, Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Services at Tawam Hospital, said: “The United Arab Emirates has provided me with all the support, care and appreciation that I needed to fight the spread of COVID-19 alongside the vast network of health workers who were on the front lines helping the people of the United Arab Emirates through the pandemic. This support allowed me to continue my work by bringing me comfort. I thank the leaders and the government of the United Arab Emirates for granting us Frontline Heroes with the golden visa.
Dr Ammar Al Shibli, Director of Medical Department, Consultant Pediatrician at Tawam Hospital, said: “I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the leadership of the United Arab Emirates for this humanitarian initiative to grant us the golden visa in honor of our efforts. This sign of appreciation has increased our sense of stability as we can continue to live in the United Arab Emirates, a country we consider our second home.

Muhammad Ali, a nurse in the intensive care unit at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, in partnership with the Mayo Clinic, said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Frontline Hero Office. I cannot describe the happiness I felt when I learned that I had obtained the golden visa, and in recognition of my efforts, my family also obtained the golden visa. I am deeply grateful to the United Arab Emirates, which I now consider my second home. »
Smita Surendran, Pharmacist at NMC Specialty Hospital, said: “Getting the golden visa means enjoying a bright future, as the leadership of the country motivates us to adhere to the noble human values and principles prevalent in the society of the Arab Emirates. I thank the leadership and Frontline Hero Office for honoring me and my family.
Alfredo Bellarmino, Clinical Ambulance and Nursing Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, said: “It never occurred to me that my dream of getting a golden visa would come true. Through this initiative, I can continue to work to provide safe healthcare to patients in the UAE and positively impact their lives. I extend my thanks and gratitude to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates and the office of frontline heroes for this life-changing initiative.
